Proton Therapy Has Proven Clinical Results

Proton therapy offers many benefits when it comes to treating gastrointestinal cancer. The precise nature of proton radiation allows our team to only target tissues affected by cancer and spares the healthy surrounding tissues that play a role in proper digestion and metabolization. This helps reduce side effects like vomiting, cramping, nausea, diarrhea, the inability to absorb nutrients (malabsorption), dehydration and sexual dysfunction. Additionally, the painless and noninvasive nature of proton therapy will allow you to continue on with your regular lifestyle throughout treatment.
